⛏️ Central Oregon Trail Alliance Update
As the riding season winds down, our friends at the Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA) are gearing up for their biggest fundraising push of the year. COTA has set an ambitious goal to raise $200,000 in their end-of-year campaign, funds that will go directly towards maintaining and improving the trails we all love to ride.
But COTA needs more than just financial support – they're calling on our cycling community to lend a hand in a very practical way. They're organizing two big mailing events on October 21st and November 15th, and they're looking for volunteers to help with the massive task of getting their fundraising materials out to supporters.
If you've ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of a major fundraising campaign, here's your chance to find out! Volunteers will be stamping and stuffing thousands of envelopes, folding letters, sorting by zip codes, and making trips to the post office. It's a great opportunity to meet fellow trail enthusiasts, share some laughs, and make a tangible difference in our local cycling infrastructure.
The best part? You only need to commit a couple of hours of your time. Whether you can spare an hour or an afternoon, your help will be invaluable in supporting COTA's mission. It's a chance to give back to the trails that give us so much enjoyment throughout the year.
Interested in joining this trail-supporting effort? You can signup to volunteer with the button below. Remember, every envelope stuffed is another step towards better trails for all of us to enjoy.
